January Programming Brings Fresh Energy to the Trax Creative District

Last Updated 12/17/2025

The Columbus Trax Creative District is kicking off the new year with color, creativity, and opportunity to reconnect with art, with others and with ourselves. January programming begins with a vibrant new exhibit and continues with workshops designed to inspire renewal, reflection and hands-on creativity throughout the month.

A Fresh Start in the Gallery: "Vibrant Year" by Yara Ramos

The first exhibit of the new year features Columbus artist Yara Ramos and her exhibit, Vibrant Year. This collection explores themes of renewal and transformation -- how we reset, reimagine and rise into what's next. Each piece bursts with energy, movement, and color, inviting viewers to rediscover joy and see the world through fresh eyes.

Vibrant Year will be on display through January 29 in the Columbus Art Gallery, located on the second floor of the Columbus Community Building, 2500 14th Street. The gallery is open Monday - Thursday from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

The public is invited to celebrate the opening of Vibrant Year at a gallery reception on Sunday, January 4, from 4-6 p.m. In addition to experiencing the exhibit, attendees can enjoy live acoustic music by special guest Ethian Alejandro, adding another layer of creativity to the afternoon.
