Performance Exhibition Series

Trax Creative District is excited to offer an educational and interactive performance exhibition series. The third of four featured performers is Edem Garro, who will perform on June 22nd at 4:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Columbus Community Building, located at 2500 14th Street, Columbus, NE.

Like the previous performances in this series, Edem’s work will explore how narrative elements can enhance the emotional and artistic impact of a performance. This event is designed to complement the visual narratives showcased in our current gallery exhibition "Telling Stories" by Jim Davis, which is open from June 3-27, 2025 .

Building a Creative Community by Honoring the Past

Edem K. Garro, also known as Edem Soul Music, is a composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who believes everyone has something special to share—and that the arts can change lives. She enjoys working with people of all ages, using music, storytelling, and performance to bring people together. Edem’s work focuses on culture and identity. As a first-generation American with Ghanaian roots, she honors her heritage by incorporating her family's native West African language into her music.
