The Trax Creative District is seeking three community members to join the Selection Committee for the upcoming Sculpture Walk exhibition, running from April 2025 to March 2026. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the artistic landscape of downtown Columbus and contribute to the city’s vibrant public art scene!
As a member of the Selection Committee, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and choosing the sculptures that will be displayed along the Sculpture Walk for the upcoming year. Your input will help elevate the cultural experience of our community and create an inspiring environment for both locals and visitors.
What Does the Selection Committee Do?
The Selection Committee is responsible for:
- Reviewing submitted proposals from artists
- Discussing the artistic merit, diversity, and relevance of each piece
- Selecting the sculptures that will be featured in the Sculpture Walk
The committee will meet on November 18 at 1:00 pm to review submissions, deliberate, and make final decisions on which pieces will be selected. The meeting will be collaborative, with members sharing their perspectives and expertise to create a cohesive, impactful collection of artwork.
Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for three passionate individuals from the community who are interested in public art and who have a broad perspective on the diverse cultural, historical, and aesthetic needs of Columbus. You don’t need to be an art expert—just someone who appreciates the role art plays in enriching the city and inspiring the people who live here.How to Apply:
