Discover Art Together at the Columbus Art Gallery
Art Opportunities in Columbus
A favorite painting can spark a conversation. A sculpture can make you see a familiar street differently. And a visit to an art gallery can open the door to creativity, curiosity, and connection.
At the Columbus Art Gallery, located on the second floor of the Columbus Community Building, we welcome opportunities to share art with our community. Along with our changing exhibitions, we offer guided tours for schools and small groups—including friends, businesses, and community organizations.
You don’t need an art background to enjoy a visit. Just bring your curiosity!
A Place for Students to Explore
A school visit brings students face-to-face with artwork and invites them to share what they see, feel, and wonder. Students can learn about the current exhibition, explore different artistic approaches, and discover what goes into running a gallery.
During a recent visit from the Columbus Middle School Art Club, sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students learned about curator Adi Perez’s work and the role of gallery docents. As they explored the ANAC Travel Show, they shared their favorite pieces and talked about their own creative interests—from pastels and watercolors to drawing anime and sculpting.
These conversations help students connect their own creativity with the artwork on display. We hope they leave feeling inspired—and imagining that one day, their own work could hang on these walls.
Bring Your Friends or Your Team
Looking for a different way to spend time together? A guided gallery tour offers friends, coworkers, and small groups an opportunity to slow down, explore, and exchange ideas.
You might notice a detail someone else missed or discover that the same artwork means something different to each person. Those moments of conversation are part of what makes experiencing art together so meaningful.
Whether you are planning a group outing, a workplace activity, or a visit with a community organization, we invite you to connect with us about arranging a tour.
Take Your Curiosity Outdoors
Art in Columbus extends beyond the gallery walls. The downtown Sculpture Walk offers another way to explore creativity while enjoying our community.
We also offer guided Sculpture Walk tours for the community, inviting participants to take a closer look at public art, share their observations, and discover a favorite sculpture along the way. It is an opportunity to enjoy downtown from a new perspective and appreciate the art that is part of our everyday surroundings.
Plan Your Visit
Whether you come with a classroom, a few friends, or your business team, we look forward to helping you connect with art.
