Magic of Watercolor Workshop Offered

As part of his exhibit and ongoing engagement with the community, Telagio Baptists will be offering a special watercolor workshop titled The Magic of Watercolor on Saturday, September 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. This hands on class invites participants to explore the expressive power of working with just one color through the beauty of monochrome painting.

What to Expect

A live demonstration from Telagio

A journey in using one color to create mood and dimension

Guidance on how to apply a full range of values with a single hue

Provided handouts and painting references

The opportunity to complete a finished painting ready to hang

Supplies

Participants are encouraged to bring their own materials. Here's a helpful list for those getting started:

• Paint: Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolor tubes (set of 6)

• Paper: Strathmore 400 Series 140-lb watercolor pad (9x12)

• Brushes: Synthetic rounds (#2 & #8) and flats (½" & 1")

• Palette: Royal Langnickel, 16 wells (available at Walmart)

• Mounting boards: Provided

• Other: ½" masking tape, 2H pencil, sharpener, eraser, two water containers, paper towels, snacks, and beverages
