Columbus Days 2025

Columbus Days is back this weekend and the arts are taking center stage! From live music to hands-on creative activities the Trackside District will be buzzing with energy, expression and entertainment for all ages.

Performers and Live Music

Catch talented musicians throughout the weekend happening in and around Frankfort Park. On Thursday, you can start your evening off with the art exhibit located in the Columbus Art Gallery on the second floor of the Columbus Community Building. The opening reception will run from 5-7 p.m. After the opening, walk over to Frankfort Square and enjoy the stylings of the Columbus Community Band beginning at 7 p.m. They will be followed by Platte Valley Playhouse's Youth Production of "The Stinky Cheese Man & Other Fairly Stupid Tales at 8:45 p.m.

Friday music and performance options include Lynette's Dance Studio at 6 p.m. A street dance featuring music from Southern Nights from 7:30 - 11:30 p.m. Going on during that same time frame will be a movie in the Square: Scooby Doo Goes Hollywood beginning at 8:45 p.m. and then of course the Night Parade at 9:30 p.m.


Continuing into Saturday

Saturday is a full day of creative activities. Starting at 9 a.m. on the patio of the Columbus Community Building there will be a sidewalk chalk art contest so stop by to watch artist of all ages bring the pavement to life!

There will be more performers and live music in the Square so be sure to catch the talented musicians and performers throughout the day. 

These performers include the Lakeview HS Viking Voices Choir, Barb's School of Dance and Desiree's Dancers, musician Geris Scheel, the All City High School Drumline, the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, the New Work Singers, Heartland Gymnastics, the Kids Foam Dance Party, a street dance featuring music from Taxi Driver as well as a teen karaoke and dance and a teen and adult glow foam dance party. 

On Sunday you can enjoy music from the Lonnie Piitz Polka Band followed by dancing from IDance.

And while you're out be sure to check out all the vendors, games and other fun things happening throughout the day. This weekend is the perfect time to explore what makes Columbus such a creative and connected community. Come celebrate the talent that fills our streets and we'll see you Trackside!
