Fall for the Arts: A new Celebration of Creativity is Coming to Downtown Columbus
Mark your calendars! A brand-new event is coming to Downtown Columbus this fall, and it's one you won't want to miss.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Downtown Columbus will come alive with art, music, theater, and creativity during the inaugural Fall for the Arts Festival.
This exciting new event, organized by Columbus in Action, is designed to celebrate the incredible artistic talent found throughout Columbus and central Nebraska while inviting visitors to experience everything our historic downtown has to offer.
A Walkable Arts Festival
Unlike a traditional festival held in a single location, Fall for the Arts transforms the entire downtown into a vibrant arts destination.
As you stroll through downtown, you'll discover local businesses, galleries, restaurants, and community spaces hosting:

Once restored, the theater will serve as a permanent home for live performances, films, community events, and cultural programming, further strengthening the arts in Columbus for generations to come.
