The Columbus Arts Council welcomes you to the debut of our new Sculpture Walk in the Trackside District Downtown Columbus! With the support of the City of Columbus, CAC has installed a unique and evolving visual arts experience that will be available and accessible to all! In participation with Sculpture Walk Across Nebraska (SWAN), CAC will be able to bring a variety of sculptures to the community that will be rotated and refreshed each year. SWAN assists with housing, building, and continuing a viable Sculpture Walk. This program not only roots a visual arts experience into public spaces of our city, but it also provides opportunities and exposure for local, regional, and national artists. This connected Sculpture Walk promotes the walkability of Columbus’ downtown by encouraging individuals to visit, explore, and stay. This year, Columbus has installed 6 sculptures in the district. Every year, the Sculpture Walk will grow by 2 sculptures allowing it to spread throughout the Trackside District while creating continued interest and intrigue.

In collaboration with the Columbus Trax Creative District, the Columbus Sculpture Walk will also feature the many murals in the Trackside District building a well-rounded visual arts experience throughout Columbus’ Trackside District. Admirers of the walk will have the opportunity to have a guided audio tour of the sculptures and murals with the artists themselves through the Otocast app! This app will lead you one artwork to the next while providing you further insight into the artists, the artistic processes, and the history of each piece. As you listen, grab one of our official Columbus Sculpture and Mural Walk brochures that provides you a map and more information on the project.
Other participating communities include:
